Serving Scottsdale and the surrounding area, Chef Elyse is a professionally trained chef with a degree in Nutrition. Focusing on fresh, healthy, flavorful foods, she provides private cooking services to a diverse array of clients throughout the valley. She specializes in various lifestyle diets, including dairy-free, gluten-free, and plant-based diets.
Chef Elyse originally hails from Wisconsin, but she has lived in several other states and countries, including Canada, Switzerland, and Italy. Ely (pronounced ay-lee) is a nickname that was given to her by her Italian host family and friends. She speaks Italian fluently and has visited over 30 countries (and counting!). Chef Elyse draws much of her culinary inspiration from her travels as well as her passion for holistic nutrition.
Over the course of her culinary career, Chef Elyse has taught cooking and gardening classes at Title I elementary schools, interned at the national non-profit No Kid Hungry, and worked in restaurants ranging from a ramen shop to an Italian osteria. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and attended culinary school at the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver.
Chef Elyse’s clientele has included everyone from professional athletes to motivational speakers. She loves building relationships with clients in order to offer personalized, nourishing, and creative services. She truly believes that healthy eating is not a diet, but a lifestyle!
